Lehigh Valley Public Media will host a debate by candidates for Northampton County district attorney on Wednesday, April 12.
Incumbent District Attorney Terry Houck and challenger Stephen Baratta will participate. The two Democrats are on the ballot in Pennsylvania's May 16 primary election. (No Republicans filed to be on the GOP primary ballot).
LehighValleyNews.com News Director Jen Rehill and politics reporter Tom Shortell will moderate the hourlong debate.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Audience should plan to arrive by 6:30 p.m. Studio doors close at 6:45 p.m. Debate broadcast begins promptly at 7 p.m. This is a closed studio set debate. Once the doors close for the debate, audience members must remain seated through the duration of the debate broadcast.
The audience is requested to refrain from clapping or verbal responses during debate. If these standards are not observed, individuals will be escorted from the premises. The debate is being organized by LehighValleyNews.com and will be aired live at 7 p.m. on PBS39. It will also be streamed at LehighValleyNews.com and be simulcast on 91.3 WLVR.
