Join us live in the studio for “Community Conversation: Paying for Public Schools” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, examining the state of education funding in Pennsylvania.
On the heels of a landmark appellate court ruling that declared the funding system unconstitutional, we’ll take a look at what lawmakers are doing in response.
The program also will highlight Gov. Josh Shapiro’s current education spending proposal, and how local school leaders are pushing back for a bigger piece of the pie to accommodate what they describe as their growing needs.
How long before a new system is in place? Can the governor’s office and Legislature hammer out an agreement? How will we pay for public schools, charter schools and cyber charter schools going forward? And, what’s it all mean for our children?
Limited seats are available to join the studio audience for an in-depth discussion on the issues and possible solutions.
